Responsibilities

You will be tasked with assisting the finance manager with all financial matters. As the RCOT are currently going through a period of change and transformation, the candidate will need to be comfortable immersing themselves into the organisation in what is a highly exciting time.

  • Assist the finance manager with payroll and producing the statutory accounts for the company and wider group.
  • Support the financial controller in ad hoc projects, system implementations and reconciliation of the balance sheets.
  • Lead the monthly management accounts, variance analysis, calculating and posting of monthly accruals/ prepayments.
  • Preparing and managing the quarterly VAT returns.
  • Ensuring all company policies and procedures are complied with.
  • Managing the budget process to ensure that all branches have submitted a budget and uploading budgets into Finance System.

Job Requirements

  • ACA, AAT, ACCA, CIMA fully qualified.
  • Experienced as a Financial Accountant or equivalent.
  • Proven experience supporting and working with non- financial colleagues at varying levels of seniority; specifically work with Chairman/ Treasurers.
  • Willingness to attend relevant internal and external courses that assist in enabling the effectiveness of this role.
  • Advanced excel and numeracy skills.
  • Experience of using SUN accounting systems
